Kyle Frazier broadcast editor-in-chief
Kyle Frazier is the Broadcast editor-in-chief for Roundtable media. He was the apprentice of Porter Darby (lord of technology) for part of the 2009-2010 school year. Kyle’s likes include Magic: the gathering™, movies, music, sleeping in on Sunday mornings and walks on the beach with his dogs Heathcliff and Nicodemus. Kyle looks forward to a successful senior year working for Roundtable Media while being the mentor of Alex Chung. Oh and ladies, the Kyle is single.
Sarah Jacques magazine editor-in-chief
Sarah Jacques is a senior at Middletown High School. This is her third year in journalism. She is much too involved in MHS, being a part of groups such as the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, the Marching Knights, and Women’s Choir. In the future she plans to double major in Magazine or Print Journalism and Spanish, and possibly minor in International Studies. She hopes to attend a great journalism college like NYU or WVU. She hopes one day to travel the world and write for National Geographic Magazine. She would like to thank KDawg for a great few years in journalism, probably the most realistic and enjoyable class she has ever taken. “And this pleases me.”
Carlee Lammers online editor-in-chief
Carlee is a senior at Middletown High School this year and this is currently her third year in journalism. Some of Carlee’s favorite things include: Chipotle burritos, Disney’s The Lion King, writing, Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes, her job at Dempsey’s Grille in Middletown, going on adventures in her best friend’s pick-up truck and going to Skillet concerts with the wonderful entertainment editor Jordan Sunkel. Carlee highly recommends taking journalism to everyone at MHS, even if they dont want to become a journalist. Not only have the past years in class taught her how to produce a good news story, but she’s also learned a lot about herself too. Next year Carlee plans on attending West Virginia University where she will major in journalism and minor in religion. Even though her future may stress her out at times, Carlee is very excited to see what the next phase of her life will bring.
Brittany Titus news editor
Brittany Titus is a senior at Middletown High School and this is her second year in journalism. She plans on attending Bethany Lutheran College next fall with a major in English and a minor in Communication. She would like to be a high school English teacher and become a writer on the side. She is very active at Middletown, taking part in the marching band, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society. In her free time, Brittany likes to read, volunteer, go shopping, play soccer, and hang out with her crazy friends. You will most likely see her working at the chicken shack (but also known as Chick-fil-A). Journalism is one of her favorite classes and would highly recommend it to anyone. Mr. Kady is a huge inspiration. Brittany loves to write and would love to become a fiction author and write books for young adults in the future. Winning the Pulitzer Prize is her biggest dream she would like to accomplish one day.

Chelsea Titus opinion editor
Chelsea Titus is a senior at M-Town. This is her second year in journalism and she is the opinion editor this year. You may see Chelsea around the Middletown and Frederick community. She works part-time at Chick-fil-errr, actively volunteers in the National Honor Society, marches with the Marching Knights, sings with the Women’s Choir, is busy with the National English Honor Society, and a Maryland Distinguished Scholar. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys drinking the oh-so-wonderful Starbucks java chip frappuccino, driving around in her cute, little silver Mazda, and shopping her heart out. She is going to attend Salisbury University to major in sociology on hopes to be an occupational therapist.
Jordan Sunkel entertainment editor
Jordan Sunkel is a senior at Middletown High School and is in her second semester of Journalism. This semester she had the privilege of being entertainment editor, after finding her love of writing book reviews last year. If possible she would like to continue participating in journalism activities in her college years. Her favorite thing to do on a cold fall day is to curl up with her nook in a comfy chair and read. A list of her favorite things are Disney’s “Aladdin”, Nutella, Skillet, Christmas, Parachute, Greece, Dunkin Donut’s Hot Chocolate and Harding University. A quote that means a lot to Jordan is “Dare to live the life you’ve dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true,” because it encourages her to follow her dreams. She plans on following her mother’s footsteps to Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and major in English. She is very excited for college to start, because “It’s Great to be at Harding!”
Shannon McKenna lifestyle editor
Shannon is a junior at Middletown High School and is a second year journalism student. Journalism has become one of her main interests along with participating in the MHS theatre department. Although she hasn’t been a part of the media world as long as theatre, she has already won an award for her photography in the Frederick News Post and competed in the WVU writing competition. This year she has taken on the role as lifestyle editor and is glad to accept such a challenge. But aside from journalism and theatre she loves singing in show choir, listening to music, having photo shoots with one of her best friends, and just relaxing. She lives her life by the motto “passion and drive help you live life to the fullest.”
Johanna Yee the arts editor
Johanna is a sophomore at Middletown High School. This is her second year of journalism. Johanna is a fairly consistent person, which may contribute to her obsession with the color purple. It would also explain why she has watched the movie, What a Girl Wants, more than possibly healthy or sane. Johanna likes a variety of music, but Taylor Swift is, by far, her favorite singer. Although she is not positive about what she wants to do in the future, at the moment, she would love to be a wedding planner or go into marketing. However, other potential options include becoming a lawyer or a nurse. Thankfully, she still has time to figure out the specifics.
Cortney St. John fun features editor
Cortney is a junior at Middletown High school and this is her second year in journalism. She enjoyed journalism so much last year she decided to take it again and applied for the position of fun features editor and received it. Besides journalism Cortney participates in the Marching Knights playing the clarinet, (YEAH WOODWINDS!), the Drama Department’s Musicals and Show Choir. This is her thirteenth year dancing with the hopes to become a dance teacher. Cortney is a member of the National Honor Society and the Nu Delta Alpha National Dance Honors Society. Cortney is also an active leader with her church’s youth programs, church orchestra, and church hand bell choir. She plans on continuing journalism for the rest of high school and plans to prove to Matt Carlstrom that CSP is not true.
Lisa Conley web specials editor
Lisa Conley is a junior at Middletown High School. She is in her third year of journalism and was named the web specials editor for the 2010-2011 school year. Lisa has always had a love of writing, along with theatre and SGA. She is also an active member of Middletown High’s prom committee and NHS.Lisa tries to live her life according to her favorite quote, “It’s not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.” from Batman Begins because not only is her all-time favorite movie, but it also inspires her to always do her best.Some of Lisa’s other favorite things include pudding, Drake Bell, and dancing in the library to Karla DeVito’s “We Are Not Alone”.
Emma Trapp citizen journalism editor
Emma Trapp is a junior at Middletown High School and is in her third semester of journalism. This year she is excited to be the citizen journalism editor. She hopes to continue with broadcast journalism in her last year of high school and then to college. She loves to hang out with her friends and have a good time. Some of her favorite books are “Catcher in the Rye”, “Of Mice and Men”, and anything by the author Nicholas Sparks. Her favorite quote is, “Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails,” from a Walk to Remember. She does not know yet exactly what she wants to do but she does know she wants to stay involved in journalism. She says, “When I’m in journalism I feel like we’re one big family, and we all work hard to get the job done. “

Blair Donald is a sophomore at Middletown High School, but don’t hold that against her. She plans on becoming a journalist, ruling the world, or perhaps becoming a rock star. She is currently a second year journalism student and photo editor- you have probably seen her running around with a camera looking for news. When not looking for photographs and stories or at work, she enjoys music, theatre and arguing politics. She lives by the motto: “The future is yet to be written, and the page is yours to fill in.”
Chrissy Payne classroom manager
Chrissy Payne is now a senior at Middletown High School. She is currently a journalism 5 student and has been in journalism since her freshman year. As her senior year is fluttering with new opportunities, she can’t help but feel the stress of her future. She tends to let senioritis get the best of her most days ,but what can you expect. Chrissy likes spending time with her family and friends; they are what mean the most to her. She hopes to continue her education at Radford University to major in fashion merchandising.
Julia Karcewski buisness manager
Julia is a junior at MHS. This is her second year in journalism, but her first year being the business manager. Julia enjoys the business aspect of journalism, and how it gives you the responsibility to make people around Middletown aware of the news. Besides school, Julia enjoys going to the gym, and hanging with friends as much as possible. Julia is a member of the cross country, and lacrosse team at MHS and also is active on a club lacrosse team. Julia try’s to live her life with no regrets, and finds it crucial to concentrate on the positive things rather than the negative. After high school Julia plans to attend college down south, possibly playing lacrosse, and pursuing a major in nursing.
