Boys Soccer: Knights look to carry over momentum

After defeating the North Hagerstown Hubs in sudden death overtime Monday night, the Knights Varsity Boys Soccer team looks to take down the Boonsboro Warriors In tonight’s match.

The Knights lost their first match to Tuscarora on Saturday evening, but hope was restored in their Monday victory.

They have 4 seniors in their arsenal, along with Junior Micah Benson, who scored the game winning goal against the Hubs on Monday

Coach Roy Rickards of Boonsboro leads a team that has been weak in the past, but is glad to say that they are rebuilding and ready to take this season on.

Boonsboro senior Devon Fairhall has been the foundation for the Warriors defense, and may prove a challenge for the Knights in breakaway situations.

The Middletown JV boys dominated the field on Monday night, but were unable to keep a Hubs goal out of the net. Josh Woozley tied the match on Monday, and the JV look forward to earning more than a tie tonight.

Tonight is youth appreciation night at the stadium, held during halftime of the Varsity game which begins at 7:00 PM, Preceded by the JV Boys at 5:30.
