Big Lewy talks sports

What has the NFL become?

This is the question many NFL fans are asking with the new unsportsmanlike conduct rules. A sport built on toughness, big-hits, and physicality, has now become a broken
fingernail on the quarterback is a 15-yard penalty. Defenders are flagged and fined for doing what comes natural to them. Hitting.

We all love the NFL, but some of these rules are taking away the things we like most about football. I was watching a Monday night football game last week, and the receiver caught the ball, took two steps, and was rocked by an oncoming defender. The flag flew from the ref for hitting a “defenseless,” receiver and it was 15-yards and an automatic first down.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!

Now I’m all for protecting the players and all, but it’s football. Injuries are part of the game, and if the NFL doesn’t stop with all these crazy rules, we could be calling this soccer in a few
years.
