Homecoming king Justin Beard, a choir member and ballet participant at Dee Buchanan Dance Studio was “surprised” about his victory. The hunky, black haired heart throb told Round Table reporters that he is “just a normal guy” and that he expected one of the six nominated football players would have taken the crown. He was very happy about his win and was glad to hear that Leah Cockerham would be his queen saying, “I really like Leah, she’s a nice girl.”
Homecoming Queen Leah Cockerham shared the same reaction as her king, Justin Beard. The marching band drum major and National Honor Society member was “really excited and surprised,” to know of her victory. She told Round Table reporters that she “expected one of the other girls to have won.”
Cockerham was pleased to hear the Beard was her king, saying,” we are really close friends so it was nice to be each others escorts.”
