Wait, the diving team is gone? Wait a minute...

This is interesting. It seems like schools got $235,050 in 2007 for "Athletic Field Repair and Maintenance Staffing and Equipment". That was listed under the improvements section of the 2007-2008 Budget. Unless that somehow includes the pools, then the fields themselves are getting the only money. (16, Merged FY08 Budget). Think on that. In the 2007-2008 budget, the only time the pools were mentioned were in associations with a money pools and where custodians were concerned, whereas the budget reads "surfacing and treating of athletic fields and tennis courts" for the athletic fields. There is nothing in there about the pool working and being paid for by the school system, whereas the fields are paid for by the school system. It seems like the school system is biased toward field sports, totally shunning the water sports.
