Middletown High School choir students traveled to Public Broadcast Station (PBS) on Oct. 20 to sing and record the song  Shenandoah, arranged by Tim Janis.  The recording  will appear on the TV show “Celebrate America.”

“It’s neat to get out of school and sing somewhere professional,” said Jessica Parsley, Middletown High School Choir director.

The students who went on this trip found the experience exciting and new. “Once we got over the shock of it all we did really well,” said sophomore Mckenzie Watson.

After the recording, the students went to the mall where they ate lunch and then headed back to MHS.

The students had “good exposure and experience,” said Parsley. Parsley also said that she would want to participate again in the future.
