NBA Moves 2017 All-Star Game Because of LGBT Laws.

The NBA announced it will move its 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte, North Carolina, because of the controversial anti-LGBT law the state enacted in March.

Middletown High School Students had mixed feelings on this topic.

Leah Heon, MHS freshman, said, “They made the right decision. All people should be able to support a basketball team no matter what.”

Other students at MHS had completely different thoughts on this topic.

It’s “ridiculous” that they’re moving the game, said MHS freshman, Kylie Gorman.

Some students, however, didn’t have a strong opinion on the topic.

MHS sophomore, Allison Shaulis said that the controversial laws had nothing to do with basketball, so moving the game was unnecessary.
