RT: What were some goals your team set at the beginning of the season?
McLister: “We wanted to make it to states. We’ve had some rough spots throughout the season but we’ve definitely smoothed them over. We work well
as a team and I think we’ll be really successful in playoffs.”
RT: How did you, yourself, prepare for this season?
McLister: “I play all year round on an AAU team with girls from all over the county. It helps me to stay in shape and keep up my skills. I also go to drop- ins at the high school during the off season to work with my (MHS) teammates and coaches”
RT: What were some goals you set for yourself?
McLister.: “I wanted to become a better ball handler and work on my three-pointer”
RT: How have you worked to fulfill your goals?
McLister: “I concentrate on my ball handling at practice and stay after practice when I can to work on three pointers. I also do ball handling drills by myself”
RT: What keeps you motivated to work hard toward your goals?
McLister: “My dad emphasizes that ‘practice makes perfect’. I know that the harder I work, the better player I will become”
RT: Do you plan on playing at the next level?
McLister: “Yes, I’ve gotten a couple of offers. I’m getting ready to send out letters to schools that I am interested in, and I’m going to continue talking to the coaches who are interested in me.”
