Calling all artists and writers!  Do you have a new Dr. Seuss character hiding inside you?   Do you have a poem that you have been waiting to write?  Enter the Dr. Seuss Art and Writing Contest.  See Ms. Leonard in Room 510 for information.  The deadline to submit your character or your poem is March thirty-first.

Students who are taking an on-line class through virtual school this semester and need to take a proctored mid-term or final for the course should sign up with Mrs. Bator in Room 215.

Attention all artists: Frederick County Public Libraries are holding their annual contest to design the bookmark for the summer reading program. This year’s theme is Every Hero Has a Story, and there will be winners in five categories, including one for high school students. Pick up an entry form in the MHS Media Center, and get started on your creation today!

Attention seniors: Now is the time to start sending your memorable and funny photos to be used at the baccalaureate ceremony in May. Send photos to Idea guy ninety-nine at google dot com. The deadline for photos is April fifteenth. Also, seniors that are interested in performing at baccalaureate should sign up as soon as possible on the senior class bulletin board.

Saturday, March fourteenth, 2015, will be “The Most Epic Pi Day Ever”! And a grand event will be held at the FCPS Earth and Space Science Lab. This year is a once in a hundred year event because the date will be three, fourteen, fifteen which are the first five digits of Pi. Events and activities will take place throughout the day beginning with a “Pi K” fun run, special planetarium programs, math activities, a scavenger hunt, an Einstein look-alike contest and more!

Seniors: Remember to check the Naviance Scholarship Tab. Many new scholarship opportunities are being added to the website as they become available.

Attention Knights fans: Come out tonight to support your boys’ basketball team as they travel to Oakdale for round two of the sectional tournament! Game time is seven PM.
