‘Deadpool’ director quits in a haste

Deadpool+director+quits+in+a+haste

Shocking news for fans emerged in the past couple of days that “Deadpool” director, Tim Miller, has exited his post as director for “Deadpool 2”.

The first “Deadpool” movie was Miller’s first full-length film he had directed. Previously, he has worked on video effects and computer games, so it came as a surprise how much of a hit his breakout movie was.

Much speculation is flying around the internet, but what seems true is that there has been some creative differences with star, Ryan Reynolds, and Miller. Rumors only reveal that it could be from Miller wanting a more “stylized” approach while Reynolds, an active producer of the sequel, wanting to keep the same comedic tone as the first movie.

Another important factor for Miller’s resignation could have been the casting choice of the character Cable, which he and Reynolds have combated over. This choice could put fans on edge because Cable, with his polar opposite personality to Deadpool, is an essential part to Deadpool’s history in the comics. When the studio backed up Reynolds’ decisions over Miller’s, he walked.

Now that Miller is gone, worried fans are wondering who will be the director of “Deadpool 2”. Who most fans are hoping to have as the replacement is “Ant-Man” and “Hot Fuzz” director, Edgar Wright. Wright has been praised for his use of visual comedy in film, which is a perfect match for the movie at hand. When incorporated with the raunchy writing, it could be just as good as the original

The Merc’s sequel is still planned to come out Jan. 12, 2018. Producers are still trying to cast the female lead, Domino, for the film. With Miller gone, it might be a much easier and faster process this time around.
