Reactions: Giants lose top three receivers

The New York Giants lost their three top tier wide receivers for the entire season due to ankle fractures on Oct. 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Middletown High School students reacted to the dismantling of what was a Super Bowl contending team.

MHS freshman Matteo Gauthier said, “They’ll try and look for better receivers.”

Each of the players received an ankle fracture which “won’t heal quickly due to the severity of the injuries,” said MHS freshman Will Nelson.

Since these players had such a large impact on the success of their team, many other teams are affected.

“As a Redskins fan, I wish the Giants would lose every game,” said MHS sophomore Josh Koons. “Obviously it’s never good to see a team lose players to injury, but this does give my team a better chance of winning our division.”
