Students react to Dunkin’ Donuts coming to Middletown

Students react to Dunkin Donuts coming to Middletown

America has been running on Dunkin’ since 1950. There are at least 8,000 restaurants in the country and more than 11,000 worldwide. The famous company placed four in Frederick County and are ready to add one more in Middletown by CVS.

Middletown High school students share their opinion on the upcoming of Dunkin Donuts.

MHS Junior Chloe Reed said, “That’s the best idea I’ve heard all day.” Reed said she drinks coffee and would prefer a Dunkin’ close by. “I think Dunkin’ Donuts is the best thing to put there.”

MHS Freshman Ally Pick, who said she is also in favor of a Dunkin’ Donuts said it’s an “amazing idea and I’m excited about it.”

Unfortunately, some are not as happy as Pick and Reed. Opposing students explain why Dunkin Donuts may not be a dream come true.

MHS freshman Sarah O’Toole said, “I Don’t really like Dunkin Donuts because their chocolate freeze drinks are really bad.”

O’Toole further explains her distaste for Dunkin’ Donuts. She said she would “much rather have a place where you could actually eat like Panera or Chipotle.”
