…Tye Die a Shirt
What you will need:
- A white T-shirt
- Tie-dye kit
- Rubber bands
- Plastic gloves
- Something to cover up your clothes
What you will do:
1. Put the t-shirt in warm water.
2. While the shirt is soaking, put on the gloves and something to protect your clothes.
3. Get the tie-dye tablet out of the box and put it in the bottle that came with it.
4. Fill with hot water and shake it up.
5. Take the shirt out and wring out most of the water.
6. Depending on the design:
– For the swirl: pinch the shirt wherever you want the center of the swirl then twist until the shirt is in a big spiral. Next put rubber bands around the shirt so it will stay in place.
– For rings: pinch the shirt where you want the rings to start and pull up. Wrap rubber bands in sections on the shirt.
7. Use desired colors and squirt the dye between the rubber band sections. (Make sure you get the dye deep in the crevices.)
8. Put the shirt in a Zip lock baggie.
9. Wait two days then wash the shirt ALONE.
What you will end up with:
You should end up with a bright and colorful shirt with your desired design.
