All-county band audition applications are due to Mr. Shearer by Thursday, Oct. 27. Students who will be in concert band or jazz ensemble next semester are eligible to audition. See Mr. Shearer or go to the band website for more information.

Announcing the Annual Maryland PTA Reflections Program. PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2016-2017 theme: What Is Your Story? Visit the display in the Media Center for details. Rules and entry forms are also available online at PTA dot org slash reflections. Submissions are due by Thursday, Dec. 1st.

If you are planning to attend a  playoff game, remember that the MPSSAA Admission cost for regional playoff games is 6 dollars for adults and students and children under 7 are free. Only MPSSAA coaches badges are accepted.

Attention students interested in the National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick: There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 436. The application is open through Dec. 16. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gibson in Room 315.

Congratulations to the Marching Knights who took 2nd place and best color guard out of 9 bands at the James Madison University Parade of Champions this past Saturday.

The Volleyball team had another big win on Thursday night.  Erica Pritchard finished the match with 4 blocks and 15 kills after achieving 1000 career kills in the 3rd set!  Olivia Collins had 8 aces and 5 blocks, Megan Cleverly had 12 assists and 6 digs and Kelsey Buckley had 10 assists and 4 digs.The team hosts FSK on Tuesday for senior night.
