Attention all seniors interested in speaking at graduation:  Due to the high level of interest, the deadline for signing up to speak or perform at graduation has been extended until the end of the day on Wednesday, April sixteenth.  Sign up with Mrs. Duva in room 514.  You will not need a copy of your speech or lyrics at that time.  The audition date is Tuesday, April twenty-second after school in the auditorium.  If you have any questions or concerns see Mrs. Duva.

In 2008, the Maryland Youth Advisory Council was established through the Maryland General Assembly to ensure that Maryland youth are given the opportunity to provide feedback and recommendations regarding public policies and programs that affect their future and to take a leadership role in creating meaningful change. If you or someone you know would like to be a voice for youth in Maryland, application information can be found on the SGA bulletin board in the cafeteria.  The deadline for applications is July first.

All SGA members: There will be a brief meeting today in the auditorium at two fifteen.  We will be voting on a change to our constitution. Please plan on attending.

Any students who have already taken Introduction to Athletic Coaching and would like to help at Middletown Elementary School’s Field Day this spring, should stop by to get a permission slip from Coach Leber.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet tomorrow morning at six forty-five a.m.  Everyone is invited for a time of faith, fellowship, food, and fun as we prepare for Easter.  That’s tomorrow morning before school at six forty-five.

Seniors who have completed service learning activities need to complete the Meritorious Service Learning Activity form and submit to the Transition Education Office in Room 315 no later than May first to be included in the Senior Awards Ceremony.  All other students please turn in your forms by the end of the school year.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Zimmer or Mrs. Gibson.

The town of Middletown will be flushing hydrants tomorrow. MHS may experience some slight fluctuation in pressure and possible sediment, but the water is completely safe to consume.

This past weekend, Future Business Leaders of America competed at the state leadership conference in Baltimore.  Congratulations to those members who placed at the state conference. Placing ninth in Emerging Business Issues:  Taiki Haugen, Willey Bruchey, and Stephanie Letourneau; first in Business Communications:  Jessica Molander; fourth in Business Math:  Meredith Bertulaitis; fifth in Client Services:  Taylor Blades; tenth in Word Processing:  Miranda Yonkoski; and fifth in Web Design:  Ben Poindexter, and John Michalowski. Special Congratulations to Jessica Molander who qualified for the National Leadership Conference this summer in Nashville Tennessee.

MHS girls track and Field finished third out of twenty-one teams at Saturday’s Don Boyer Invitational. The girls four by eight hundred meter relay consisting of teammates, Reilly Caldwell, Annie Noffsinger, Felicia Clements and Zoe Wolfe took second. Other notable finishers include Camille Coston, Erin Smith, Reilly Caldwell, Zoe Wolfe, Paige Bussard and Erin Doherty. Great Job Ladies!

Tonight is Senior Night for the boys lacrosse team.  Both the JV and Varsity teams will compete against Oakdale.  So come out and support your Knights!
