KILEY :  Today Middletown FFA is hosting our annual Ag Day. The purpose of Ag Day is to teach the community about the importance of agriculture.

EMMA :   It also gives FFA members the opportunity to display their livestock and tractors as well serve as tour guides for visiting elementary schools. If the opportunity is available, please take the time to experience what we have set up this year

Attention anyone who wants SSL hours or just enjoys working with children, being outside, and shopping with friends! Volunteers are needed for this year’s sixth Annual Boonsboro GreenFest. Grab a tab off of the GreenFest volunteer sheets you see around campus, stop by the Media Center for a GreenFest bookmark, or just go to BoonsboroGreenFest dot com to sign up. The deadline to sign up is Monday, April twenty-eighth. See Mr. Haardt or Mr. Zimmer with any questions.

You have one more day to enter the annual MHS Poetry Contest. Please submit your original poetry to Mrs. Reickel or Mrs. Sgignoli in the Media Center, and you could win a thirty-dollar Barnes and Noble gift card. Each student may submit up to three poems, so get yours in by 2:30 tomorrow!

Attention all Varsity Football players: The State Rings will be distributed in the weight room this Friday at two twenty. Make sure you have your final payment in order to receive your ring. See coach Lynott if you have any questions.

The Drama Boosters are sponsoring a scholarship for any senior involved in MHS drama. See the drama board or Mrs. Nicklas for more information.  Deadline for entry is April twenty-eighth.

If you are a junior or senior interested in joining the MHS Social Studies Honors Society, Rho Kappa, please return a completed application to Room 211 by this Friday, April twenty-fifth. If you are a current member and are interested in purchasing cords for graduation, please turn in money to Ms. Purcell in room 211 no later than this Friday.

Attention National Honor Society members and all MHS students. Do you want to give back to the community and help those in need of a better home? Come volunteer with us on Middletown’s Rebuilding Together project in Emmitsburg this Saturday, April twenty-sixth, from eight to four PM. All help is appreciated and there is a job for everyone! If you like to have fun and fix up run-down homes, pick up a permission slip from Ms. Chestnutt or Mrs. Steger and bring a friend with you!
