All National Honor Society Applications are due today to Ms. MacMillan. Hard copy applications are due by the end of the school day in the front office. Electronic applications are due no later than midnight tonight.

Attention to all those re-taking the HSA Biology and HSA Government tests next week: Please stop by the Media Center and pick up study materials from Mrs. Reickel. You are also invited to come in for Biology tutoring today after school from two twenty-five to three twenty-five, and Government tutoring on Thursday from two twenty-five to three twenty-five. Improve your chances of passing these important tests by seeing Mrs. Reickel today!

Juniors and Seniors: Meeting with college reps who visit MHS is a great way to get a first look at colleges. If you would like to attend one of the presentations, please sign up at the Counseling Center or on your own through your Naviance account. MHS has a lot of Colleges visiting this week so make sure you sign up and sign up early: Wednesday is Lynchburg College, University of Delaware, and Old Dominion University; Thursday is Randolph-Macon College, Lebanon Valley College and Kent State University; Friday we will have High Point University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Mount St. Mary’s.

It’s Time! Find new uses for duct tape today after school at the Middletown Branch Library. Challenge yourself to see if you can find a new use for duct tape or improve a duct tape project. Hope to see you there!

Today is the last day to turn in Meritorious Service Learning Hours to be recognized in the Fall Awards Program in November. Please submit your hours to the Transition Education Office in Room 315 by the end of today. Forms are available on Mr. Zimmer and Mrs. Gibson’s website and in Room 315.

On Saturday, the field hockey team faced Linganore in a tough battle. The varsity’s lone goal was scored by Laura Myers with an assist by Ali Williams. Emma Provost posted twenty-eight saves! The JV did very well with a four to zero win and goals from Chloe Goodie, Riley March, and two from Rachel Walchuck with assists from Ashley Donaldson and Andrea Kundrick. The Lady Knights will face Urbana and Oakdale this week. Good luck girls!

JV and Varsity Volleyball handed TJ a pair of losses last night. JV battled with TJ to the end beating them two to one and were led by Erin O’Connor with six kills, Helen Holt with four kills, and Kelsey Buckley with thirteen assists. Varsity beat TJ in three holding them to scores of eleven, eight and seven. Varsity was led by Erika Pritchard with fourteen kills and Ashley Catania with twenty-two assists. Volleyball travels to Westminster on Wednesday.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is a Club “A” day.
