Monday is the day to show your inner Dr. Seuss! All students and staff – dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character Monday, March second to celebrate Read Across America Day!

Students that are interested in SSL or Internships for next school year should complete an application. These are due to the Transition Education Office in Room 315 by Monday, March second. Please see Mr. Zimmer or Mrs. Gibson with questions.

Anyone interested in participating in Unified Track this spring, please see Mrs. Bator or Ms. Bagnell. Participants must fill out another Unified Sports packet, but do not need to complete another physical if you have already had one this school year. Our first meeting will be March ninth from two thirty to three thirty in Mr. Bean’s Room.

National English Honor Society Members: Today is the last day to vote for officers. Voting takes place in Room 510.

Voting has begun for the next Student Member of the Board of Education and runs through March fourth. Information can be found on the SGA board in the cafeteria.

Catch a Knight in action this weekend as our swimmers compete for the Maryland state championships this afternoon, our girls’ basketball team opens the playoffs tonight when they travel to Boonsboro for a six PM game, or come out to the gym tonight as our boys’ basketball team hosts Boonsboro at eight PM. Finally, our wrestling team will compete in the regional tournament all day tomorrow at Manchester Valley High School. Good luck knights!

Staff: Thank you so much for your participation in FFA Week. We are wrapping up activities with the FFA trivia contest. Immediately following the final question today, send a student with your answers to the cafeteria. There will be a student to collect answers in the middle of the cafeteria. We will provide a donut breakfast to the second block class that answers every question correctly and turns it in first. Students who run in the hall or who are not in the classroom while the question is read will be disqualified.

Please be sure to put your classroom spirit wear tally and total students in your class on the same sheet so you can also be considered to win the FFA week donut breakfast. The donut breakfasts will be given on Monday.

Also, please join the MHS FFA chapter for an ice cream social directly after school from twelve thirty until one. We look forward to seeing you there!

We hope you have enjoyed celebrating national FFA week and our agricultural heritage.
