Tomorrow, December 18th is the deadline for purchasing a senior ad in the yearbook. Parents can leave a special word of encouragement or share a memory with their graduating senior. Parents can go directly to the website at Jostens yearbook.com to place an order.

In this week’s Middletown Citizen, Natalie May is featured as the Student of the Week. Lindsey Weaver, Middletown High School Library Media Specialist, nominated May. Weaver said of May, “She is somewhat reserved but when she shares her thoughts, they are full of meaning.” Check out reporter Leah Heon’s feature on May in The Citizen.

There will be a short informational meeting for anyone interested in playing boys lacrosse this spring on Wednesday, December 19th in room 214 after school.

The “It’s Academic!” team won a first round match against Annapolis High School and Old Mill High School on Saturday by a score of 535 to 350 to 310.  The team of Marilyn Fisher, Dillon Deirmen , and Rachel Washart will compete again on April 6. Good Luck team!

On Friday evening, the Middletown swimming and diving team defeated Catoctin. The boys earned a score of 137 with no opponents whereas the girls won 130 -38.  First place finishers for the boys team: Ben Tabor, Aryan Das, Scott Milner, Jake Wornom, Paul Hillsman, Nicolas DeArcangelis, Ethan Hubble, Eric McMunn, Holden Coblentz, Blake Smullen, Aiden Shanton, Brett Hart, Braiden Moran, Zach Brown, Danny Averill, Bryce Ramaekers, and Brian Khin.  For the girls, Kayla Hodor, Julia Milner, Nellie Stafford, Kathryn Pressly, Josie Hall, Liz Brown, Lauren Edsall and Serena Shirsekar. The Knights will be hosting their first home meet this Tuesday against Urbana starting at 6:00 p.m.
