There will be a mandatory meeting for the National English Honor Society after school today in Mrs. Ricci’s Room, 505, and a meeting of the Spanish Honor Society in Mr. Lupian’s Room, portable 1.

The TED -ed club will be meeting tomorrow during Knights Quest.

The Department of Solid Waste Management’s Recycling Poster Contest is offering Frederick County students an opportunity to showcase their artistic talent and their support of recycling!  The program, which runs through March 27, challenges participants to design an image that raises awareness of recycling. Artwork can be done in any medium and selected entries will be reproduced as posters. For entry forms and complete contest rules, go to FrederickCountyMD.gov/PosterContest.

Congratulations to the knights swim team who competed at the regional swim meet on Monday. The boys finished 2nd and the girls finished 3rd. A special congratulations to John Pressly who took 1st in the 100 yard Butterfly. Congratulations to the boys 200 Medley relay and the boys 400 free relay team who bettered the team records!

This week is National FFA Week, please help us celebrate. We have many spirit days and activities going on this week.

We hope that you will celebrate with us this week! In addition to all of our activities this week we will also be having 2 contests. The 1st is to see which 1st block class is the most spirited, your teacher will be keeping dress up wear tally this week. The 2nd is our Agriculture trivia. Teachers trivia answers can be recorded on the back of the dress up tally sheet. The 1st block class that is the most spirited this week and the 2nd block class trivia winners will both receive doughnuts for their class!

This week we will be collecting soldier care package items. Items that might be good to donate are beef jerky, lip balm, wet naps, write a thank you to a soldier, socks, candy (no chocolate please), and other items that you think they might like. We will collecting care package items all week. Donation boxes can be found in the front office, cafeteria, and ag hallway.

Continue to celebrate with us today after school from 2:30 until 4:00 as we assemble care packages for our troops in the Ag Shop. Don’t forget to bring in your donated care package items all this week. Donation boxes are located in the front office, cafeteria and ag hallway. Help us brighten a soldier’s day!

Tomorrow is Camo day, show your spirit by wearing your Camo! Want to show even more spirit? Go down to the Ag shop in the morning and put your hand on our members banner. If you leave the paint on all day the FFA will be serving ice cream in the ag shop from 2:30 to 3:00 to those members. Do you love movies like we do? Join us after school for our Movie Night Social in the Ag Shop from 2:30 until 4:30pm. Hope to see you there!
