Wear your spirit wear this week! Tomorrow is “Way Back Wednesday,” where you can dress in apparel from your favorite era in history.

Seniors, be sure to vote for your homecoming king and queen. Voting ends Thursday at two. All information can be found on the bulletin board beside the auditorium doors.

Don’t wait to the last minute to purchase your homecoming ticket. Tickets are on sale during all lunch shifts through Thursday. Absolutely no tickets will be sold after Thursday. All students and guests must have a completed dance guideline form to purchase tickets.

Spirit meter update: Seniors are now in the lead, followed by the freshman, staff, juniors, and sophomores. Complete challenges at lunch for points. Bring in those canned food items, purchase spirit links and duct tape. All of these help with accumulating points. Today’s carnival game is spin the wheel for prizes and points. The minute to win it challenge is marshmallow movers.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Club B day.

Seniors: Are you planning to apply to the University of Maryland or UMBC? Do you plan to meet the November first deadline? Time is running out! If you need to request a teacher or counselor recommendation, you need to do so by TOMORROW, Wednesday, October fifteenth or the teachers and counselors will not be able to write your letter. All materials, including applications, test scores, and recommendations are due to the University of Maryland and UMBC by November first. See your counselor today if you have any questions.

New Club request forms are available in the cafeteria starting today and will be accepted until October twenty-second. All new clubs must meet the requirements outlined on the form. Students may sign up to change their current clubs from October twenty-seventh until October thirty-first in the cafeteria.

There will be an important meeting for all students joining the MHS wrestling team in portable three tomorrow at two fifteen. Anyone not able to come to the meeting should see Coach Schartner.

The MHS FFA is hosting an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, October twenty-first from five thirty until seven in the MHS cafeteria. This money will benefit the FFA members attending the National FFA Convention. Tickets are eight dollars in advance and ten dollars at the door. See Ms. Shriner or Ms. Seiser for tickets.

The Bar Association of Frederick County is offering a free Civics and Law Academy on November eighth from eight thirty to one o’clock at Oakdale High School, during which students will have the opportunity to learn about law and society from local attorneys and judges. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in studying law, criminal justice, or sociology. See Ms. Pryor for more information.
