Attention ninth grade Middletown High School FFA members: We will be holding our first practice for the Creed competition on Wednesday, Jan. 13th after school from 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.. We hope to see you there!

Seniors enrolled in English 101 next semester: Remember that your payment for the course is due to Frederick Community College by Jan. 15th. If you need information on how to pay, see Ms. Dillard in the counseling center.

It’s time to begin the planning of our Parents Teachers and Students Association sponsored Senior Baccalaureate!  This interfaith celebration includes music, dance and inspirational messages by seniors, and a slideshow. Seniors and parents of all grades are needed. If interested, please join us on Monday, Jan. 11th at 7:00 P.M. in the MHS Media Center for our first planning meeting.

“Footloose” is coming to the MHS stage this spring.  Auditions will be held on Feb. 10th and 11th.  Singers, dancers, and actors are encouraged to audition.  Specific audition times will be posted on the drama board outside Ms. Denton’s room and the news board outside of the auditorium. See Ms. Duva or Ms. Denton for additional details.

Last night the Knights swim team competed against Thomas Johnson High school. The boys won their meet with a score of 116 to 63. Multiple winners included Jacob Boone, John Pressly, Tyler Sheppard, and Jacob Stafford. Maggie Williamson was a multiple winner for the girls.

Interested in Entering A T-Shirt Design Contest?  The Frederick County Department of Solid Waste Management is sponsoring a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle T-Shirt Design Contest which is open to any Frederick County resident ages five and up.  Contest entries must be received by noon on Monday, March 21st. Great prizes are being awarded.   For more information, see the posters that have been placed around the school.
