Are you a student leader? Do you think you have what it takes to be the voice of all students in Frederick County Public Schools? Do you want to make a difference? FCPS is accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Student Member of the Board. Any current 10th or 11th grader is eligible to apply. Completed student packet is due on Jan. 9. For more information or to obtain an application please contact Ms. Barlow in Room 215 or assistant principal, Ms. Hontz.

The Rotary Clubs of Frederick is sponsoring their annual Four-Way Test Speech Contest. The contest is open to all 11th and 12th grade students. Children of Rotarians are not eligible to participate. Each school will select one representative and students will present speeches to a panel of staff after school during the first week of January. One student will be selected to compete at the county level. Cash prizes are awarded for the top four places with a first prize of $500. If interested, contact Mr. Zimmer in Room 315 by Friday, Dec. 19.

Attention Student Drivers: Please remember that parking spots in the front of the school that are marked with a “Reserved for Staff” sign are reserved all day and all night. Students and parents attending evening events or practices at the school are not permitted to park in theses spots at any time. Thank you for your cooperation!
