Today is Club “B” day.

A reminder to students who are planning to submit an essay to the John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Contest: The deadline to submit on-line is Jan. 5. If mailed, your submission must also be postmarked by Jan. 5. See Ms. Leonard for questions.

HSA testing assignments for Jan. 12 – 15 are posted in the cafeteria. Students who are testing should take advantage of the tutoring offered after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please go to the MHS website and look at the Tutoring Quick Link for the full tutoring schedule.

The following students were selected to represent Middletown High School on the local level in the High School Young Authors’ Contest: Sophie Stafford – Ninth Grade, Austen Collins – Tenth Grade, Bethany Elliott – Eleventh Grade, and Julianna Posey – Twelfth Grade. The writing of each student has been submitted to the local council to compete in the state contest. Congratulations to our winners for their creative and insightful writing selections. Best of luck as they move on in the competition!

Every day there are great things happening at Middletown High School! Our Staff Member of the Month recognition program allows teachers, students, and parents to nominate those staff members they feel deserve special recognition. To nominate a staff member, please go to the MHS website and look for the form under the Parents and Students tab.

A cappella auditions will take place in the music room, 403, tomorrow the 18th and Monday the 22 after school at 2:30. Sign-up forms are posted on the music board outside of room 403. Come and sign-up and be a part of Glee Club!

Join us for the MHS Winter Choral Concert tomorrow, Dec. 18 at 7:00 in the auditorium. The brass quintet will play prelude music at 6:45.
