Seniors, voting ends Thursday at two PM, so cast your vote for homecoming king and queen.

Thursday is “Class Color Day,” where students can represent their classes by wearing its designated color. Freshmen should wear grey, sophomores wear orange, juniors wear white, and seniors should wear black.

Vote for your favorite duct tape outfit. Information on how to vote is located in the cafeteria.

Spirit Meter Update: The freshmen are back in the lead, followed by the seniors, juniors, sophomore and staff.

Underclassmen photos that were not picked up on photo distribution day will be available in first-period classes on Thursday. Makeup photo day for those who missed the first photo day or want to have their photos retaken will be on October twenty-fourth. In order to have your photos retaken, you must bring your original photos to the photography session on October twenty-fourth.

Attention juniors: NCI is hosting an informational meeting about the Werner H. Kirsten Student Intern Program this Friday, October seventeenth at nine thirty at the Advanced Technology Research Center in
Frederick. Applications to the NCI program will be accepted October twenty-ninth through December third and are available online. Please see Mrs. Gibson or Mr. Zimmer in Room 315 for more information.

Students: If you are interested in taking an online AP course this year, see your counselor immediately. Registration forms are due to your counselor by tomorrow, October sixteenth.

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in joining the military after graduation, you must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. This test will be held Monday, November third at Frederick High School. If you are interested in taking the test, please see Ms. Bagnell in the Counseling office no later than Thursday October twenty-third.

There will be an important meeting for all students joining the MHS wrestling team in portable three today at two fifteen. Anyone not able to come to the meeting should see Coach Schartner.

Congratulations to the MHS field hockey seniors as they defeated Walkersville last night three to zero. Two goals from Laura Myers with Ali Williams assist and one goal from Emily Delauter with Laura Myers assist. Emma Provost was credited with the shut out. Congratulations also to the JV team also winning six to zero with goals from Jessica Yeager, Andrea Kundrick, Chloe Goodie, Riley March , Ashley Donaldson and Maya Aylor. Assist to Jill Spring and two to Ashley Donaldson. The team faces Tuscarora away on Thursday!

Congrats to the JV volleyball team who defeated Frederick making them eight and three for the season. Their two to zero win was led by Jimenia Alvarez, Charlotte Anderson and Delanie Mills. Varsity extended their winning streak to eight wins by beating Frederick on Senior night three to zero. Stat leaders were Erika Pritchard with thirteen kills and ten aces, Ashley Catania with twenty assists and Kendall Mitchell and Ellie Collins chipped in with four kills and three blocks each. Congrats to seniors Paige, Ashley, Kendall, Kirsten, Breanna and Ellie. We will miss you!
