Break-ups can often be the dumps

Relationships are constantly being made and demolished.

Ex-girlfriends and boyfriends are often avoided after the relationship is gone.

I recently got back in contact with a former girlfriend; she and I have been talking a lot lately. I don’t know why we ever got out of contact.

I think that each of us had some sense of guilt in the way that our relationship ended. I will not divulge the details, but it was devastating for our friendship.

Luckily, our friendship has started anew. However, I still regret having lost contact with a once great friend of mine.

So I say to you readers that, if a bridge has been burned because of something as minuscule as a break-up, I would urge you to build a new bridge.

Friends, like love, are great treasures that should never be given up without a fight.
