Have you set aside the time to reflect and create goals for the new year? Students typically try to maintain a healthy diet, spend more time with family or friends and improve their grades in school. Middletown High School teachers Jeff Colsh and Kevin Lynott share their thoughts about the psychology behind New Year’s resolutions and steps on how to follow through with them.

Lauren Leatherman is a senior at Middletown High School. This is her third semester of journalism and she plans on pursuing International Relations in college. Lauren also runs on the varsity indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She is a very versatile athlete competing in many events. Lauren enjoys gardening, traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She hopes to further her academic and athletic career at a four-year university.
