Movie Review: Bohemian Rhapsody

Movie+Review%3A+Bohemian+Rhapsody

One of the biggest most unique songs of all time, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, is a six minute song filled with gibberish and soothing harmonies. It’s as if there are 3 different songs all put together in one six minute masterpiece.

“Bohemian Rhapsody”, a movie about Queen and the making of the song, is a two hour and fifteen minute movie that seems quite rushed. As the movie shows the history of how Queen came about, it goes through the years of their band it seems as if they go through it in a span of 10 minutes. As they do focus on more of the music aspect of their careers, I feel as if they should put more of their history in it.

In the film they portray the look of the characters in the movie to the actual Queen band accurately. You might think the look of Freddie Mercury is rather silly with his llama like teeth, but if you have never seen how Freddie actually looks, the movie resembles Freddie’s actual teeth well. Freddie Mercury wore eccentric outfits in his performances and the film mirrors them almost exactly, matching with the exact concert he wore them at.

I recommend if you are going to see this movie to see it in theatres or be alone at your house where you can turn the sound up. As you watch it feels as if you are at the concert and performances make you feel as if you are there. The intense guitar riffs and amazing vocals of Freddie Mercury will give you chills.

I definitely recommend for you to go watch Bohemian Rhapsody, you will walk out singing Mamma Mia and nonstop listening to Queen for a week. As they did rush the history of Queen the movie was definitely one I would watch again.
