After weeks of speculation, social icon Kylie Jenner confirmed what many believed on Feb. 4 when she posted a picture to her 104 million Instagram followers explaining why she chose to keep her pregnancy a secret from the world. Along with the message, a video montage encapsulating the journey of her pregnancy was shared.

Bryn Poffenbarger, Middletown High School sophomore, said that this was “irrelevant” because everyone knew she was pregnant. Poffenbarger also said that if she were in Jenner’s place, “I would probably do the same thing and keep my pregnancy a secret until I actually had the baby.”

In her Instagram post, Jenner said, “I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”

MHS freshman Samantha Dillard she said she understands this decision as “the media hounds her.”

Kylie Gorman, MHS sophomore, said, “I think it’s good for her and keeping it a secret probably helped her to remain calm.”

Jenner finished the post by saying, “My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived

February 1st and I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.”

Since the birth of her daughter Stormi, Jenner has shared many photos and has even released a new weather themed collection on Kylie Cosmetics in honor of the baby.
