RGlll Comeback Cut Short

After Robert Griffin III’s rookie season following a recovery from an ACL tear at Baylor University, his health and statistics have gone down from there. After his production fell off in Washington, D.C., Griffin was released and signed with the Cleveland Browns, but his fortune did not improve.

With high hopes in his Browns debut, he ended up going down once again late in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, injuring his shoulder.

Some Middletown High School students said that RGIII won’t be able to recover from his injury.

“I think he needs to be a little more careful knowing that he has had previous injuries and maybe consider running out of bounds instead of not sliding,” said Collin Hanson, MHS junior.

MHS junior, Seth McMullen, agreed.

He said he’s not going to be able to bounce back from his injuries.

Some students do believe he’s going to be able to play, but they think he will be playing with injuries throughout his career.

MHS junior, Dylan Green, said Griffin’s “made of glass” and from a team standpoint, the Browns may have to consider signing a more reliable quarterback because, if not, “teams who have him are going to have to play with an injury-prone quarterback.”
