Samantha Johnson, Fun Feature section editor
Samantha Johnson is a senior at Middletown High School. She has been in journalism two semester previous to this year. She has enjoyed her time in the class and hopes to take what she has learned into the rest of her life and career. Outside of school, Samantha is a singer-songwriter and she performs her music around the Frederick area. She writes, sings, produces, and records all of her music.

Lauren Leatherman is a senior at Middletown High School. This is her third semester of journalism and she plans on pursuing International Relations in college. Lauren also runs on the varsity indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She is a very versatile athlete competing in many events. Lauren enjoys gardening, traveling, reading and spending time with her family. She hopes to further her academic and athletic career at a four-year university. Her interests are women’s rights, environmental conservation and animal protection. One of Lauren’s favorite quotes is, “Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you” by Frank Lloyd Wright.
