The Science National Honor Society Applications are due tomorrow, October 16th, to Mrs. Brandt in room 307.  Students who are applying must be in a science course this year, that includes internships and SSL assignments.  Also, students must reapply each year to be active members.

Are you interested in the law?  Do you like to argue or act? If so, consider joining Mock Trial team.  As a team member you will be either a witness or lawyer in a mock court case.  This is a competitive team that involves an after school commitment. During competition season, you will argue the case against teams from other schools in the county.  An informational meeting will be held in Room 212, Mrs. Thompson’s room on Monday, October 15th from 2:20-3:00.

Sophomore Class:  We will be having an information meeting on Thursday, October 18th during Knights Quest to discuss joining the sophomore executive board and the Hugh O’Brian State Leadership Seminar in the cafeteria. If you are interested, please sign up in the counseling center. See Mrs. Barlow or Mrs. Roberts with questions.

The Middletown and Walkersville HS POOLS are looking for lifeguards.  If you are certified and interested, please stop by the Walkersville HS pool on Wednesday October 17 – between 5 and 8 pm OR Saturday October 20 between 9 am and 12 pm for an on-site interview. These are for either pool.   Please bring a copy of your certification with you.

Volleyball lost to Linganore Wednesday.  Grace Paulishak had 2 aces, 5 kills and 16 digs, Sydney Wilber had 8 kills and 11 digs, Maura Doherty had 7 kills.  Michele Newkirk had 11 digs and 25 assists.

Volleyball Beat brunswick last Thursday night. Grace Paulishak had 14 kills and 15 digs, Sydney Wilber had 15 kills and 17 digs, Maura Doherty had 12 kills, Haley Miller had 13 digs and Michele Newkirk had 48 assists.

The JV girls soccer team lost a hard fought game Thursday night to Linganore 3-2.  Goals were scored by Jenna Grossnickle and Isabella Ewine.

The Varsity girls won a thriller in double overtime with 30 seconds left 1-0.  Jade Catlin scored the goal. Kylie Wells was in goal for the shut out.
