Attention Juniors and Seniors: The following colleges will be making visits to MHS soon.  Exact dates are: The University of Maryland, College Park, today, Tuesday, October 2; Dickinson College, Wednesday, October 3; and Salisbury University, Monday October 8. All visits will be during Knights’ Quest. Please sign up through your Naviance Account.  All sign-ups close 24 hours before the visit. If you have any problems, see Mrs. Bertulaitis in Counseling.

Attention: Applications to be a Page for the Maryland House of Delegates are due to Mr. Crompton by the end of the day.

Seniors – are you planning to apply to UMBC for a STEM related major? You may be interested in the Meyerhoff Scholars Program which awards $5,000 to $15,000 per year to students. If you would like to be nominated for this scholarship, sign up in the counseling center by Monday, October eighth.

Attention, anyone interested in joining the math honor society,  please please pick up an application from Mrs. Anderson in room 516.  Applications for the math honor society are due October fifth.

The girls cross country team competed at the DCXC Invitational on Saturday in Washington, D.C.  Medalists for the team were Nelly Stafford, who finished in 18th place in the sophomore race; Campbell Caldwell, who finished 12th in the freshman race; and Marin Bartman, who finished in 24th place in the freshman race.  The girls next race is this afternoon at the Crossfire Invitational at Liberty High.

Boys cross country will also be racing at the Crossfire Invitational today.

Field hockey travels to Walkersville today for a game at 4.

Boys soccer plays Oakdale at home at 7.

Girls soccer plays at Oakdale tonight at 7.

Volleyball plays tonight at 7 at Oakdale as well.
