Come to the media center on Wednesday mornings to experience mindfulness before you start your school day. Mindfulness simply means being present with yourself without judgement, and more and more people are practicing mindfulness to improve their lives. There are many benefits to practicing mindfulness including less stress and worry, better focus, and establishing inner calmness. Recent neuroscience research shows that mindfulness actually changes the brain making it possible to move on and release negative patterns. We invite you to start your Wednesdays in a refreshing way. Join us for mindfulness every Wednesday in December (sixth, thirteenth and twentieth) from seven to seven fifteen am.

The National Honor Society will be holding a school wide fundraiser, contributing to the Warrior Glam Bags Organization. In collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities and Middletown High School student Ashley Dixon, we will be collecting beauty products for the teenagers living their life in the hospital. Ashley Dixon realized that many activities are targeted towards younger children in hospitals and the older age groups are rarely accounted for. We will be collecting new beauty products, including cheap make-up, facial cleansers, chapstick, nail polish, and any other small products able to fit inside a makeup bag. To ensure that the products have not been used, we will not be accepting opened or damaged packages. Ashley has realized that when you don’t feel well, it doesn’t help if you don’t look well either. Show your support to those fighting for their life by dropping off items in the collection bin next to the school store or in the collection bags located in each knight’s quest. Donations will be accepted until December the 15th. If you have any questions please contact Ms. MacMillan.

Are you interested in becoming a Physician, Nurse, Pharmacist, Physical Therapist, or any other Health Care Professional? You should join, the Pre-Medicine Club. Meetings will be held every Tuesday during Knight’s Quest in Mrs. Brandt’s room. The first meeting will be held on December 12th. If Interested, See Mrs.Brandt in Rm. 307 for more details.
