The media center will be closed after school today due to an NHS meeting after school. After school tutoring will be held in room 515.

Are you struggling in a class and need a little extra help? Do you need some guidance as you write your paper for English class? Do you want to get a little extra practice for the SATs? The tutoring and writing center is coming soon! Starting in March, the media center will be hosting the Tutoring and Writing Center on Mondays and Wednesdays during Knight’s Quest. See Mrs. Flagg or Ms. Weaver for more details.

Attention NCI or USAMRIID internships applicants: on Wednesday, February 28th at 2:30 in the Media Center, there will be a meeting to provide an update on interviews and the interview process. The presentation will be done by three students who are currently in the program. They will provide helpful information and give you the opportunity to practice at mock interviews. You will be able to ask questions, and the mock interviews are optional. See Mrs. Gibson if you have any questions.

March is National Reading Month! Keep your eye out for different literary-related events coming during the month of March, including our third Cocoa House on Wednesday, March 7th! If you’re interested in performing see Ms. Weaver to sign up!

The Middletown Wrestling team finished second at the County Tournament this past Saturday. Individual champions were Jason Guglielmini and Josh Paige. Cam Farrow placed second in a hard fought match.  Placing third were: Owen Pannucci, Jeremy Farron, Noah Grossnickle, Ethan Grossnickle, and Beau Herrmann. Conor March placed 4th. Zach Brady, Jordan Hoy, and Luis Pacheco also wrestled well and placed in the tournament. Nine Middletown wrestlers qualified and will be wrestling in the regional tournament this Saturday at Boonsboro. Good luck Knights.

The MHS boys basketball team will host Poolesville in a quarterfinal sectional game on Friday. The start time for the game is 7 P.M.

The girls varsity basketball team lost to Frederick last night 68-50 in the CMC Championship.

Anyone interested in playing a spring sport should attend the Spring Meet the Coach Night Meeting next Wednesday at 7 P.M. If you are not able to attend, be sure to contact the coach or see Coach Desimone.

All students interested in participating on the Unified Track Team: there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 27th at 2:30 in the cafeteria. Please see Mr. Chapman with any questions.
