Congratulations to the Middletown FFA members who competed at the Region 2 FFA contests on Wednesday night. The Agricultural Mechanics team placed fourth overall and team members were Kayla Brody, Chris Godwin, Jacob Rice and Sasha Koulinkovitch. Zachary Spurrier competed in the Creed Speaking contest and received a silver medal. In the Junior Extemporaneous Public Speaking contest, Amelia Flook received first and Skyler Slimmer received fourth. The Senior Extemporaneous Public Speaking contestants were Audrey Harrison, who received a bronze medal, Sasha Koulinkovitch and Kayla Brody. Zachary, Amelia and Skyler will be representing our region at the Maryland FFA Convention in June. Congratulations to all!
March is Youth Art Month. The National Art Honor Society is celebrating by sponsoring Art Spirit Week. Today is Monochromatic Monday – wear one color, tomorrow is Graphic Print and Pattern Day – wear a print or pattern, Wednesday is Black and White Photo Day – wear black, gray, and white, Thursday is Dress Like An Artist Day – wear studio clothes or dress like a famous artist, and Friday is NAHS T-Shirt and Class Color Day – freshman wear gray, sophomores wear orange, juniors wear white, seniors wear black, and staff wear yellow.
