This past weekend Future Business Leaders of America held their State Leadership Conference in Hunt Valley.  Congratulations to everyone who qualified to attend. The following members have qualify to attend the National Leadership Conference this summer in Baltimore: Louis Hu, Joey Weiland, Nancy Siguenza, Anushka Aliev, Lauren Herman, Katherine Mayer, Nabila Prasetiawan, Megan Gilbart, Yiting Lin, and Serena Shirsekar.

Social Studies Tutoring is held in Mrs. Thompson’s Room (212) on Wednesdays 2:15 to 3:00 and Thursdays 2:15 to 4:00.  You can use this time to work on projects and homework. Get help with essays or make-up work, or use this time to make up tests and quizzes.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Frederick Community College will be visiting Middletown on Tuesday, March 20 during Knights Quest. If you are interested in attending please sign up through your Naviance Account.  If you have any questions please stop by the counseling office.

Attention seniors. When requesting transcripts on Naviance for scholarships, indicate in the notes field if you need a counselor letter of recommendation to be included. If you need a PDF version emailed to you, include your email address in the notes field. If you have any questions please stop by the counseling office.

The TBA Improv team has a show this Friday, March 16th, at 7 PM in the chorus room. It’s completely free and very funny. They hope to see you there.

March is Youth Art Month. The National Art Honor Society is celebrating by sponsoring Art Spirit Week. Today is Black and White Photo Day – wear black, gray, and white, tomorrow is Dress Like An Artist Day – wear studio clothes or dress like a famous artist, and Friday is NAHS T-Shirt and Class Color Day – freshman wear gray, sophomores wear orange, juniors wear white, seniors wear black, and staff wear yellow.

The annual JV/Varsity Baseball Bingo is scheduled for Saturday, April 21.  Doors open at 5:00pm and games start at 6:30pm. It will be a fun night with lots of opportunities to win cash and raffle baskets.: 20 games, each with a $75 payout, JV game with a $250 payout, Varsity game with a $500 payout, 3 special games, each valued at 200+ in gifts, Raffle baskets, each valued at $150+ in gifts, 50/50 raffle, TipJars and Door prizes. Food is available for purchase through the Middletown Valley Volunteer Fire Department. This event has been selling out for the past two years, so if you are interested in attending, don’t wait too long. See a JV/Varsity Baseball player or Mrs. Dillard for tickets.
