The drama department would like to invite any student interested in stage and tech crew to participate in the upcoming musical, Into the Woods. If you are interested, stop by and see Mrs. Duva in room 514 to apply. Applications are due by Friday, March 9th.

The Middletown High School FBLA Chapter is running a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, selling paper bears for $1 a piece to raise money for premature babies. Each bear can be colored and submitted to the FBLA Table during lunch by Wednesday, although they will not be selling Wednesday, they will collect the sold bears. The bears will then be placed in the MD FBLA State Leadership Conference competition for a potential prize of a $25 gift card among the winning bear. If you would like to support our chapter, we will be selling the bears during every lunch shift.

Calling all performers! The Cocoa House is just the place for you. Next Tuesday, March thirteenth, the media center will host another Cocoa House during Knight’s Quest –sign up with Ms. Weaver to perform a poem, short story, or song. Just want to attend? Sign up with Ms. Weaver as well!

Seniors, The Community Foundation of Frederick County’s Scholarship application becomes available  today. You may start requesting your transcript on Naviance now, include your email address in the notes section, so it can be electronically sent to you. In addition, when requesting transcripts for any scholarship, please be aware of due dates and allow at least 3 days for a transcript to be processed.

Josh Paige and Cam Farrow wrestled in the Maryland State Wrestling finals last night at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD.  Josh Paige placed second at 152 lbs. Josh has placed 2nd, 3rd and 2nd the last three years at the state tournament. Cam Farrow won the state championship at 195 lbs.  The championship match went into quadruple overtime with Cam winning 2-1. Congratulations to Cam and Josh for an outstanding state tournament.

Weather permitting ultimate frisbee club will meet for the first time after school on Thursday from 2:30-3:30. Meet in Ms. Chestnut’s room, and bring a friend. All are welcome. If you have any questions please talk to Logan Call or Ms. Chestnut.
