In the spirit of Earth Day (April twenty-second), the TED-Ed Club is hosting Earth Week at MHS from Monday, April sixteenth through Friday, April twentieth. Throughout the week, you will be able to take part in special activities that raise awareness about the importance of recycling and keeping our environment clean. Next Monday will be Marine Monday. During Knight’s Quest, you can participate in the Big Sweep Nature Walk, weather permitting, and at lunch the Collaborative Earth Collage will take place. Stay posted throughout the week to find out all the activities planned.

To conclude the week, the TED-Ed Club will be hosting Earth Fest on Friday, April twentieth from three thirty to four thirty pm in the MHS Media Center. Earth Fest will feature a Trashion Fashion show and teacher/student performances. If you are interested in taking part in Earth Week or Earth Fest, please contact Ms. Weaver.

The MHS National Art Honor Society is sponsoring a Paint Night at the Main Cup in Middletown on April 18th at 7:00 PM. Come and paint a cherry blossom scene with our featured artist senior Mira Nair. The cost is $25 and benefits NAHS. Paint night includes the painting supplies and instruction. See Mrs. Lehman in rooms 419 and 420 to reserve your spot.

Mark your calendars! The next Cocoa House will be held during Earth Week on April 19th during Knight’s Quest.

The Lady Knights Softball team beat Smithsburg fourteen to one. Mikayla Toms was the winning pitcher allowing one run over four innings. The offense was led by Lexi Hofflinger, Victoria McClain, and Hannah Lindsey.    Each one had three hits.

Both the boys and girls tennis teams beat smithsburg 5-0 yesterday in their matches. Congratulations knights!
