The Middletown High School girls basketball team will try to snap a seven game losing streak tonight at home against the Linganore Lancers. The Lancers have had their share of struggles too, sitting at 1-8 on the season.

Carly Tolino leads the team, averaging 13.1 points per game, and hopes to propel the Knights over the Lancers. And Megan Harne, who averages 1.8 steals a game looks to sure up the Knights on defense.

Senior Jess Racz knows how improtant this game is for the Knights.

“We need to get back on track,” said Racz. “We’re just going to stay positive and believe in our talents.”

Racz also added that this was expected to be a physical game, and that the Knights are ready to match the Lancer’s physicality.

The Knights are looking for revenge after the Lancers got the best of them a few weeks ago. The Lancers got their first and only win over the Knights, 59-44, on Jan. 6. Both teams have been winless since then.
