On September 11, 2001, four planes were hijacked and used as weapons against the American people. American Airlines flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon killing 184, and United Airlines flight 93 crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing all 40 passengers and crew members.
