Post Malone debuts impressive first album

Post Malone debuts impressive first album

Post Malone’s debut album “Stoney (Deluxe)” has recently dropped and, by all means, is a huge success. The soft rap album has more than surpassed all listeners’ expectations.

With singles on it such as “White Iverson”, “Too Young” and “Congratulations”, there is no wonder why it has been a huge success.  The three singles were dropped early, and all three have already been featured on public radio. They topped out at No. 3 on “Billboard’s” hot rap songs chart.

The album is equal parts singing and rap. Post Malone is accompanied by artists such as 2 Chainz and Justin Bieber, to name a few. They are featured in the songs “Déjà Vu” and “Money Made Me Do It”.

The album is very well-composed – it seems to always to keep the listener at balance between a solid rap song and a truly deep and meaningful song that is made to get the listener in their “feels”.  On the album, Malone uses these switches to keep the listener interested and engaged. His transfer from his rap single “White Iverson” to his slow jam of “I Fall Apart” is a great example of this.

The only obvious problem with the album is that almost all of his songs sound alike.  There is a noticeable difference in his songs, but only really in the beats. At no point does he truly go off and explode his voice off the track and create a sound unheard of on any of his other songs.

Overall, the album is very solid. It is a great start for a hopefully long and prosperous Post Malone career. If I had to give this an album a grade, I would give it a strong 9/10.
