Students: Don’t forget – Registration forms for next year are due to your first period teacher by tomorrow.

Seniors: make sure to periodically check the Naviance Scholarship Tab. Many scholarship opportunities are being added to the website as they become available.

Attention juniors: Boy’s and Girl’s state is a prestigious, week-long program run by the American Legion that gives students an opportunity to learn about state and local governments. If you are interested in participating this summer, please sign up outside Ms. Bagnell’s office in the Counseling Center.

Attention National Honor Society Students: The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February eleventh. T-shirt order forms are available outside of Room 217 and are also due by February eleventh. Please check the bulletin board in the cafeteria for other announcements.

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! During all lunch shifts this week, the senior class will be providing free valentines for you to show your love and appreciation for your friends. These valentines will be posted in the cafeteria. Stop by the school store to fill out your valentine.

The MHS Drama Department will be performing a One-act Play Festival this weekend. Show times are Friday and Saturday at seven PM and Sunday at two PM. Tickets are on sale in the school cafeteria during all lunches today and tomorrow and also available at the door before each show.

Softball drop-ins begin tomorrow morning at six AM in the gym. All players are encouraged to attend.

The MHS mock trial defense team had their first trial last night. The team won the decision based on the merits of the case. John Michalowski, Robbie Rockwell, Mira Nair and Alejandro Valdes all received perfect scores for their performances. Despite this strong team performance, we lost the match to St Johns by just one point.

Congratulations to MHS Hockey team members Derek Gaskins and Sean Mickelson for making the All-County first team. They will be entered into consideration for the All-State team composed of the best high school hockey players in Maryland. The Knights will play their final regular season game to determine the top playoff seed tomorrow at four PM against Urbana at Skate Frederick. Come out and watch the fast, hard-hitting action only MHS Ice Hockey delivers! See you there!

Congrats to the Middletown wrestlers for defeating Linganore sixty-four to four. Pinning for the Knights were Danny Bertoni, Casey McCauley, Jacob Ridgely, and Tucker Ziegler. Adam Bain picked up a tech fall while Josh Grossnickle earned a major decision. The Knights are twenty-three and three on the season. Congratulations knights!
