September eleventh, 2001, will be long remembered not just as a day when the United States was attacked by terrorists and nearly three thousand people lost their lives. It will also be remembered as a day when men and women in this country rose to the occasion to help their fellow citizens, often putting their own lives at risk. We end the morning announcements with a moment of silence to honor those who died, those who served, and those who cared.
