The MHS Academic Team will be competing in the “It’s Academic” playoff tournament Saturday, May 11 at ten a.m. in Baltimore at the WJZ television studio.  The program will be aired live, so be sure to watch this exciting match! To honor the MHS Academic team—and the whole school—Giant Food, a sponsor of It’s Academic, will be featuring a specially priced “Middletown High School Hoagie” at the Giant Food store at “Shops at Monocacy,” 1700 Kingfisher Drive in Frederick. The MHS special hoagies will be available this weekend from Friday through Sunday.

Attention all Rho Kappa potential members: Your membership fee is due today. Seniors members are eligible to order graduation cords and should see Mr. Muldoon as soon as possible so cords can be ordered to arrive in time for graduation. If you do not pay the fee by today, you will not be a member of Rho Kappa. Juniors who miss this deadline are invited to re-apply next year.

Seniors: if you are going to FCC and majoring in business, please see Ms. Blair concerning a scholarship by Monday, May 13.

All Science National Honor Society seniors who paid for graduation cords should pick them up from Mrs. Brandt as soon as possible.

Today is the last day for the Beading for a Cause sale during all lunch shifts. Don’t forget they make great Mother’s Day gifts and Mother’s Day is this Sunday. All proceeds go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Seniors who have Meritorious Service hours for this year need to submit them to Mr. Zimmer by today.  Forms can be picked up outside Mr. Zimmer or Mrs. Gibson’s room or found on the MHS website.

Mr. Middletown is tonight at seven p.m. and tickets will be sold during all lunch shifts today. Tickets are five dollars and only three tickets can be purchased by an individual. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
