There is a mandatory meeting tomorrow during second block for all students taking AP exams.  Students should fist report to their second block class and then to the auditorium at the following times. Students whose last names begin with A through J report at nine o-five and students whose last names begin with J through Z report at ten o’clock. These times have been changed from the original information on the AP bulletin. Please remember that this meeting is mandatory.

Each year, FCPS students and business representatives come together to improve the quality of living for a Frederick County resident.  We will be participating in the annual Re-building Together program on April 27 from eight a.m until five p.m. This year our students will be helping Ms. Blackwell, who is in need of home repairs. It is a rain or shine event. Please see Ms. Chestnutt or Mrs. Steger for a permission slip.

Prom tickets are currently on sale during all lunch shifts.  Cost is $25 for MHS seniors, $30 for MHS juniors, and $35 for anyone else.  Checks made payable to MHS.  Last day to purchase tickets is Thursday, May 2 with no exceptions. Students attending CTC or work study may purchase their tickets before or after school.  See Ms. Cashdollar in Room 430 or Mrs. Mattingly in room 414.  Dance forms must be signed and turned in when purchasing tickets.  No tickets will be sold without a signed Dance Form.  Dance forms are available in the front office, outside Mrs. Mattingly’s room, in Ms. Cashdollar’s room, in the media center or at the ticket table during all lunch shifts.  All prom attendees will be required to show photo ID before entering the dance.  Please see Mrs. Mattingly or Ms. Cashdollar with any questions.

The Sophomore Class Executive Board will be selling Middletown CAMO hats and lanyards at the boys lacrosse game tonight.  This is one of the fundraisers that they will use to support the prom of 2014.  Hats are $12 and Lanyards are $5.

Congratulations to the cast, crew, and musicians of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for an outstanding production.  Cast members must turn in all scripts to Mrs. Nicklas today. Everyone involved in the musical or one hundred and one Dalmatians is invited to vote for drama awards. Ballots are in room 210.  All votes must be received by Wednesday, April 24.  Today is the day for seniors to turn in their commitment forms for the Senior Showcase.  The show is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 at seven p.m in the MHS auditorium.  Without the show, there will not be a senior class picnic.  Please see Ms. Leonard in room 208 for questions.

The blood drive is sooner than you think. If you are interested in donating please contact Mrs. Gibson or Mrs. Anderson. And remember knights…always give 100 percent…unless you are giving blood.

April is here, and that means it’s time to vote for the Maryland High School Black-Eyed Susan book award! If you have read three or more of the Black-Eyed Susan nominees this year, please come to the Media Center tomorrow during all lunch shifts to vote for your favorite title, and to make your own ice cream sundae in our Media Workroom.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet tomorrow morning at six forty-five.  Everyone is welcome for a time of faith, fellowship, food, and fun.  That’s tomorrow morning before school at six forty-five.

Congratulations to the following FBLA members who competed this past weekend at the State Leadership Conference in Baltimore. Florian Cotera and Maggie Remsberg place fifth in Banking and Financial Systems. Alejandra Diaz placed fourth in Cyber Security. Mark DeArcangelis and Grayson Van Buren placed fourth in Global Business. Kevin Titus, Taiki Haugen, and Willie Bruchey placed second in Management Decision Making and Isaac Hoehn placed first in Business Math. Special congratulations to Kevin, Taiki, Willie, and Isaac who have qualified to represent the state of Maryland at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this summer.

The boys track and field team continued to improve Saturday at the Talley Zimmeman Invitational. Jacob Hargett and Michael Madden placed sixth and seventh in the four hundred with personal bests. Brandon folio placed seventh in the fifteen hundred. Brent Leber placed second in the three thousand. The Throwers Relay consisting of Erin Doherty, Mark Hankewycz, Paige Bussard, and Sam Bizzell placed fifth. The four by four hundred team of Michael Madden, Brandon Folio, Jake Jones, and Jacob Harget placed eighth. Hank Smith placed sixth in the shot put. Eric Schnarrs placed sixth in the discus and Alexo Kontos placed eighth in the pole vault. The JV four by four hundred team placed first, with Matt Glessner, Luke Fakult, Alex Mekkelson, and Evan Cameron Wilson.

Interns are reminded that term four project sheets are due to Mr. Zimmer tomorrow.
