Anyone in grades 9-12 who are interested in trying out for Girls Basketball this winter season should meet in the cafeteria on Thursday October 21, 2010 right after school.  If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Larson in room 505 for the information.
 
Pre-season workouts for boy’s basketball players will be held Monday and Wednesday right after school next week.  All players in grades 9 – 12 who are interested in trying out for basketball this season and who are not participating in a fall sport are encouraged to attend these workouts.
 
Attention Middletown Knights-  the Frederick County Unified Tennis tournament will be held at Middletown High School on Monday October 18th.  The matches will start at 2:30.  Every high school in Frederick County will be represented.  Come out and cheer for our undefeated team and watch some fabulous tennis!
 
MHS girl’s field hockey defeated Frederick High last nite 10-0. Congratulations to all the seniors who had a great game.
 
The Knights golf team finished their season on Wednesday with a season record 54 stroke victory over Oakdale High School.    Coach Aud would like to thank the 5 seniors for a great year and wishes them the best!
The Maryland Mathematics League Competition is back!  The first contest date is October 19th! The contest takes 30 minutes and will begin at 2:30 in Miss Rogers’ room (311). The contest is designed for students that have completed Algebra II. Think you may be interested but not sure about it? Then stop by and pick up an old version of a contest sheet to take a look at. If you are currently enrolled in a math class, you can just ask your teacher.   Come on by on Tuesday. Who couldn’t use another 30 minutes of math each month!
The Middletown JV football team ran its record to 5-0 last night with a 35-27 victory over North High.  The young Knights are at home next week against Brunswick.
