A new Honors Society arrives to MHS

Rho Kappa is a new honors society for upperclassmen. This honors society was started by Middletown High School Social Studies teacher Michael Desimone, MHS Social Studies teacher William Muldoon, and MHS Social Studies teacher Jeff Colsh.

The club was started with the intention of giving the same representation to Social Studies as they do to all the other honors societies. There is National Dance Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, National English Honors Society, National Science Honors Society, National Honors Society, National Math Honors Society, and Tri-M Music Honors Society.

The requirements for Rho Kappa are: a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, four successful social studies credits, and the applicants have to be a junior or a senior.

There is no limit to the number of people who will be allowed into the honors society.

The honors society has already begun, the applications have been turned in, all that is left is Colsh, Muldoon, and Desimone have to pick the people who meet all of the criteria.
