Fashion show for a cause

The Heartly House had a fashion show take place last Wednesday at the Valley Grill in Middletown to help raise money for a needed cause.  The event was hosted by the boutique Chic to Chic in Frederick and Trinity Hair Salon and Spa in Middletown.

The event was created to help Heartly House with their financial issues.  They were in place for a five thousand dollar grant, but lost it to another non- profit organization. Without the extra money the organization was starting to go into financial trouble.

Over a hundred people came to the event and tickets were sold with a price of $25 at the door.  Silent auctions were a plenty and the dresses that the models wore were available for purchase, with 25 percent of proceeds going to the organization.

When it ended, the fundraiser raised almost the same amount of the money that was lost, to which the Heartly House was very grateful.
