Lynott shoots for best football coach in Maryland

Middletown High School Knights Varsity Football Coach Kevin Lynott will go up against the best of the best in the state of Maryland, competing for the Best High School Football Coach in the state of Maryland.

In a contest by the USA Today-High School Sports Online, Lynott will go up against Biff Poggi of Gilman Catholic School, Brian Van Deusen of River Hill High School, Chuck Markeiwicz of Arundel High School, DeLawn Parrish of Henry A. Wise High School, George Petrides of Baltimore City College, Lawrence Smith of Dunbar High School, and Steve Turnbaugh of Hereford High School.

The vote will go until October 9th and as of now Lynott is in the lead with almost 36% of the vote, and if he wins the vote he will qualify for the Regional round of the competion. The link to vote is http://contest.usatodayhss.com/vote/bestcoach2013/md.
